RVA Fall Fashion Weekend: October 5-7, 2017
Being involved with RVA Fashion Week for the past two years has been an incredible experience. From the pop-up events to the runways it’s been a great way for me to get involved locally, and one of my favorite aspects of my business.
We kicked off fall RVA Fashion Weekend on Thursday night at Vagabond, where they hosted an exclusive networking event. The event was open to press, bloggers, and RVA fashion and retail professionals to meet with the RVAFW team. We enjoyed appetizers and drinks while mingling with old friends and making a few new ones.

Friday night was the RVAFW First Friday’s Fashion Crawl. It started at Fresh Richmond with designs by Azi Blas and moved down to Lou Stevens “Glam Squad”. Glam squad hosted a fashion show and pop-up, staring looks from TAILOR, Trunk-Up, and Ashby. The venue had the perfect “runway” right when you walked in the front door, and the vendors and bar were set up downstairs. The show kicked off at 7:30 and the models killed it, these ladies owned the runway! It was a fantastic evening of fashion and shopping.

Saturday night was the big fashion show benefitting Dress for Success Central Virginia. We got there early to set up our booth and the doors opened at 6pm. The show was hosted at City Hall Observation Deck and featured looks from 11 different local designers. The show was hosted by Kelli Lemon, who wore TAILOR (!!!). Guests enjoyed shopping local vendors before and after the show. It was a great event, and the reason I love doing pop-ups! It’s always fun for me to interact with customers and make new connections.
Thank you RVA Fashion Week, see you in April!
